So many changes

It really is an amazing process seeing baby Christopher change from day to day. He is no longer that floppy little baby that needed my support for everything. He has complete control of his head now, and when I hold him he looks around at the world with such interest. He definitely knows who mommy and daddy are and watches us all of the time. When Chris gets home from work, his entire face lights up. Yesterday Chris got home and took him out of my arms. I began to pick up around the house and his little eyes followed me everywhere I went. When I went up the stairs he strained his neck to follow me the entire way. So cute!

He grabs toys, bites things, and is even trying to sit up on his own. If we lay him down on his blanket to play and he doesn't want to be laying down he will lift up his head like he is trying to sit up on his own. He even found his feet. I know it sounds silly, but I find it fascinating when he looks at them and grabs them. He finds it fascinating too :)

One of the best changes lately has been the laughs! If I could listen to one sound for the rest of my life it would be Christopher's laugh. A couple of weeks ago we had to work really hard for a laugh. We found a pretty good tickle spot on his stomach and would spend some time working him up to it. Today, he started giving them out like candy. I looked at him with a weird face and he gave me a little chuckle! The BEST! He also found peek-a-boo terribly funny.

I know that anyone who has a child has witnessed these things, but for me, a first timer, I am amazed everyday! Some laughs for daddy at the zoo

Here is a video of a few little laughs. You can mostly just hear his dad laugh but it is the best example I have so far.

Best Friends

Auntie Keely got him this blue elephant and he loves it. He will smile at him and talk to him forever. The other day Christopher was fussy. I put him next to his elephant and he started smiling and talking. They have become fast friends.
